Pitching Attributes (defense) Control - Controls the size of the Perfect & Good windows within the pitch execution mechanic (timing mini-game). Stamina - How quickly the pitch timing windows shrink. The higher the Stamina star level, the slower the pitcher gets tired and in turn the slower the timing windows shrink. Note that the pitch cost also affects how quickly the pitchers stamina decreases. Velocity - Controls the maximum possible speed of fastballs, when Perfect timing is achieved. Fielding The probability of the athlete dropping a catch. Controls the fielders reaction times, this is particularly important for outfielders. Speed - The speed of an athlete. (same as base running speed)
Pitch Execution Timing Quality Perfect (green) - The pitch is delivered exactly where the user selected and at maximum possible Velocity level, based on the pitcher’s Velocity Attribute. Good (yellow) - The pitch could be delivered to the selected location or 1 cell left or right, and the Velocity will be slightly decreased. Poor (Red) - The pitch could be delivered to the selected location or 1-2 cells left or right, and the Velocity will be decreased significantly. These pitches are very easy for a batter to read and hit.
Pitch Stamina Costs A pitch can cost 1 to 5 stamina points. The better the pitch, the higher the cost. Use your expensive pitches wisely. The harder the pitch is to hit due to speed and/or break, the higher the stamina cost.
